Google Workspace™ Integration

SheetXAi operates as a Google Sheets™ add-on and follows these data handling principles:

  • Accesses your Google Sheets™ data only when you're actively using the add-on
  • Uses Google™ OAuth for secure authentication
  • Requires specific permissions (scopes) to function:
    • Access and modify spreadsheets where you use the add-on (including linked sheets for multi-sheet operations and automations)
    • Display the chat interface in Google Sheets
    • Connect to AI services (OpenAI, etc.) and process payments securely
    • Run the automations you set up and manage your credits
    • Read your language preferences for proper display
    • Access files you're currently using with the add-on
    • View your email address for account management
    • Send emails when you request support or ask the AI to send emails
  • Does not store your Google Sheets™ data permanently
  • Processes data temporarily for AI operations only

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We may collect personal information when you:

  • Register for our service
  • Make a purchase
  • Submit support requests
  • Use our add-on

This includes:

  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe)

Usage Data and Analytics

User Requests and AI Interactions

  • We collect and store anonymized prompt text (your instructions to the AI, e.g. "summarize column A") for up to 30 days for debugging and service improvement purposes
  • Anonymized prompts are not linked to your email address or account identity
  • Conversation logs (the back-and-forth within a session) are stored only for the duration of the active session and are permanently deleted when you clear your conversation
  • Content from your spreadsheets is processed temporarily during a request and is never stored by SheetXAI

  • AI processing is performed securely through our servers
  • Credit and subscription information is stored securely
  • We use industry-standard security protocols
  • Access to systems is strictly controlled and monitored

Data Retention

  • Payment information: Stored securely by Stripe
  • AI processing data: Temporary processing only, not stored
  • AI Interactions: Only accessed when the user requests debugging

OAuth Scope Usage

Our add-on requires specific permissions to function:

"Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications"

  • Purpose: Display the chat interface and user controls
  • Usage: Only when the add-on is active
  • Data access: Limited to UI display

"Connect to an external service"

  • Purpose: Process payments through Stripe and connect to AI services (OpenAI, etc.)
  • Usage: During payment operations and AI processing
  • Data access: Limited to payment processing and AI requests
  • Note: Required for core AI functionality

"Allow this application to run when you are not present"

  • Purpose: Run automations set by you and manage credit usage
  • Usage: When your automations need to run in the background
  • Data access: Limited to automation execution and credit tracking

"View and manage all your spreadsheets in Google Drive"

  • Purpose: Access and modify spreadsheet content
  • Usage: For the sheet where add-on is being used, additional sheets during multi-sheet operations, and sheets involved in your automations
  • Data access: Only sheets actively being used with SheetXAI
  • Note: Essential for any spreadsheet operations

"View your basic settings about language and region"

  • Purpose: Handle user language settings
  • Usage: Basic add-on functionality
  • Data access: User locale preferences only

"View and manage Google Drive files and folders that you have opened or created with this app"

  • Purpose: Access files created by the add-on
  • Usage: When processing spreadsheet data
  • Data access: Limited to files CURRENTLY being used with the add-on
  • Note: Access is removed when you stop using files with SheetXAI

"View your email address"

  • Purpose: User identification
  • Usage: Account and subscription management
  • Data access: User email address only

"Send email as you"

  • Purpose: Process support requests and handle email operations requested through AI
  • Usage: Only when you send a support message or specifically ask the AI to send emails
  • Data access: Limited to sending emails on your behalf when requested
  • Note: We never access your email directly - this is only used when you explicitly request email actions

Notes

  • Each scope is requested only when necessary for core functionality
  • Access is limited to the minimum required for each operation
  • No scope is used beyond its stated purpose
  • User data privacy is maintained at all times

Third-Party Services

Payment Processing

  • We use Stripe for payment processing
  • Payment information is handled directly by Stripe
  • We do not store credit card information

Analytics

  • We use anonymous analytics to improve our service
  • No personal information is shared with analytics providers
  • You can opt-out of analytics collection

AI Technology and Processing

  • SheetXAI supports multiple AI providers including OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and others available via OpenRouter
  • Your prompts are routed to whichever AI provider you select (or have configured via your own API key)
  • SheetXAI does not add personal data to AI requests — the content of a prompt is determined entirely by you
  • AI interactions are not stored by SheetXAI beyond the active session; conversation logs are deleted when you clear your conversation
  • Each AI provider's handling of your prompts is governed by their own privacy policy
  • No personal data from your SheetXAI account (such as your email) is shared with AI providers
